Rajasthan government has floored its final annual budget before the state election in 2024.
Government of Rajasthan has floored its final annual budget before the five-year term of the Ashok Gehlot term as chief minister of the state, Rajasthan is set to go for local elections in 2024, the budget hence is very important for the government and the state as well.
Some of the key points of the budget are as follows:
The Chiranjeevi Swasthya Bima Yojana:
The healthcare system of the state has seen much improvement since the launch of the Chiranjeevi Yojana (scheme). The scheme has been successful in terms of “how many people has benefited from it”.
Bajaj Pulsar, Chetak electric scooter remain most sold in December 2022.• The scheme was first announced with bima (insurance) of rupees up to five lakhs, covered by Govt. then in past the limit of the yojana was increased by 10 lakhs, from 5 lakhs. Now in budget 23-24 the yojana has been raised from Rs 10 lakh to Rs 25 lakh per household.
Farmers to benefit from the scheme with free electricity up to 2,000 units per month:
• The farmers in the state has seen some relief in the budget with the government allowing free electricity up to 2,000 units per month.
• The government has allowed free electricity up to 100 units per month for domestic use.
Free ration and Food, LPG cylinders to needy families:
• The Government has made provisions for about 1 crore needy families under the National Food Security Act, under the act free ration and food packets will be provided.
• The LPG cylinders will be given at 500 rupees to 76 lakhs BPL (below poverty line) families.
• School children will be provided milk every morning under mid-day meals schema.
• Government also disclosed that it will give 30,000 electric two-wheelers for girls student in the state.
Old pension scheme for employees of state govt, corporations, academies and universities before 1 Jan. 2004:
• State government , corporations, academies and universities employees before 1 January, 2004, will be covered by the Old Pension Scheme (OPS).
