Jaipur: Rajasthan assembly elections 2023 are just around the corner, and the heated statements from Congress and BJP party leaders are on full swing, nowadays. Here's what latest, Rajasthan CM Gehlot said about his counterpart and former Cheif Minister of Rajasthan, Vasundhara Raje.
The statement “You were considered BJP in Rajasthan” is being seen as the indication of the lost status, that Vasundhara Raje Sindhya used to enjoy in her party, the BJP.
The ex CM is now facing an uncertain future in the Rajasthan politics as well as in her party.
Though the latest development in BJP leadership decision-making suggest that Raje might not be totally out of the game in the state, given the fact, her popularity.
CM Gehlot said that Vasundhara Raje was once the most powerful and influential leader of the BJP in Rajasthan. She was so dominant in the party that she was seen as synonymous with the BJP in the state.
The statement came after Raje took a jibe on Gehlot's latest 2030 target, which he set just recently, in which he promised to make Rajasthan the number one ranking state. Gehlot quickly responded and countered the former CM Raje on a question of Mission 2030.
Vasundhara Raje served as the Chief Minister of Rajasthan for two terms, from 2003 to 2008 and again from 2013 to 2018. She is the only woman to have served as the Chief Minister of Rajasthan.
