Story: Google Pixel ; 08-10-2022;

Google Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro has launched, and here's what experts have to say about it!

Update: 13-10-2022;

Reverse wireless charging:

• The Pixel 7 series has Reverse wireless charging features which allows you to charge accessories or other phones (if they support Qi charging) on the back of Pixel.

According to the tech experts, the latest Google Pixel smartphone look quite robust in terms of performance on the papers. Both the phones look beautiful and elegant with their design line (though 7 Pro looks much cooler with extra camera setup).

Google Pixel is faster than ever, more secure than ever before, that's what Google's intro video (see at the end of this read) says.

• Photo and Video capturing capabilities have been worked upon, refined. One cannot ignore the “Google AI” put in the latest Pixel 7 and 7 pro.

• The device design is beautiful and feel-look are premium, doing justice to the price point.

• Cannot comment on the actual performance of the device yet, because that would require one to use the device in real life on the daily bases for about 2 to 4 months, at least.

Specs on the go:

Google is finally coming back to its groove with a beautiful looking Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro, let's check out what the phone has inside of it?

• A 6.7" (inch) QHD+ LTPO display. LTPO stands for Low-Temperature Polycrystalline Oxide. These AMOLED panels are better than AMOLED you see otherwise. Developed originally by Apple, gives various range of frequencies, which is good when it comes to looking at display. Has 120Hz refresh rate.

• Works on the chipset "Google Tensor G2.”

• Operates on Android 13, the latest Android, i.e. You do get a 5 Years Update backup with the device (a win-win situation according to many geeks/experts of the tech.)

• Good camera setup on the Pixel 7 pro model, it has 48MP TP (Telephoto) + 50MP WA (Wide Angle) +12MP UW (Ultra Wide) in the rear. Supports up to 30x zoom. Has a 10.8MP front facing camera.

• Supports wired & wireless charging. It has a 5000mAh (claims Up to 72 hours of battery life. That's great if you don't like charging pretty often) battery pack with 30W fast charging capacity.

• You get Face unlock, Fingerprint scanner (In-Display) security and unlocking features.

•Available with 12 GB and 128 GB/256 GB options when it comes to RAM and storage of the device.

• Has a IP68 rating for water and dust resistance. Other important things like Stereo Speakers, USB-C 3.2 we didn't forget to mention.

Key difference between the Google Pixel 7 and 7 Pro:

• Pixel 7 is 6.3 inch FHD+ phone and the pro version is 6.7-inch QHD+

• Pixel 7 has 90Hz refresh rate, while 7 pro has 120Hz (for the display.) But as a non geek or a regular user, does that even make the difference? Do write us about this at @dedaandsons (Twitter Handle.)

• Pixel 7 has 50MP + 12MP rear camera module while the bigger version has one extra (which is great for photographers by the way) camera module, 50MP + 12MP + 48MP.

• Has same 10.8MP Selfie camera in front.

• Pixel 7 comes with less of the battery than the 7 pro, cheaper version has 4,355mAh, while the more expensive one has, 5000mAh battery pack.

• Price does matter when it comes to the difference “that's the editor line”, now Google Pixel 7 costs ₹59,999 ($599 USD), and Google Pixel 7 pro costs ₹84,999 ($899 USD.)

Here that intro video from Google, we've mentioned earlier:

What's are key differences between the Google Pixel 6, 6 Pro and this year's Pixel 7, 7 Pro:

• There are not many differences between the previous year's release and the latest version of the Google Pixel, almost same specs are identical (Check out Pixel 6 and 6 Pro specs, in our memory lane story, link below)

• In terms of the display size this year, the Pixel 7 (non-pro model) has got a minor 1" inch upgrade as compared to last year's model.

• Camera modules in front of Pixel 6 and 6 Pro were slightly much bigger in terms of pixels, the Front Shooter on Pixel 6 was 8-megapixel, while 6 Pro featured an 11.1 MP selfie camera.

• Not much to talk about when it comes to chipset and Android version on the previous and this year's Pixel device. The use of Tensor SoC (latest version of previous year), and then latest Android O/S, were seen on the Pixel 6 and 6 Pro.

• Slight bit of tweaks can be seen in terms of RAM and storage capacity of both year's devices.

• The battery pack this year in both the Pixel 7 and 7 Pro are slightly smaller than the previous version.
