Samajwadi Party supremo Akhilesh Yadav finally met with SP leader Azam Khan on Wednesday at Sir Ganga Ram Hospital.
Khan was admitted to the Medicine Department of the facility on May 29 for a routine medical check-up. According to the sources in hospital, the condition of Azam khan is "perfectly stable".
Azam is out of jail after he got interim bail from supreme court of India on 20 May, Azam Khan is said to be unhappy with the party leadership and specially with Akhilesh Yadav, and the reason behind the anger is being sidelined by the party, while he was in jail and faced barrage of cases.
After his release from jail, Khan went to Lucknow but did not meet Samajwadi Party president. He also went to the state Assembly for his swearing in but did not Akhilesh in the Vidhan Sabha.
Interestingly, Samajwadi Party patriarch Mulayam Singh Yadav has also not spoken to Azam Khan after his release from jail.
Lawyer and veteran politician Kapil Sibal is said to be playing a key role in easing tensions between the two leader, Sibal who also fought Azam's case in supreme court and is termed close to SP supremo Yadav, nowadays after his resignation from Congress, in which he was a long time member.

Now that Akhilesh Yadav have met with Khan, speculation are high that the duo would get along and rift would finally be over, as by polls in the Uttar Pradesh are around the corner, and the SP leadership cannot risk tussle with dominant leader and popular face in Muslim minority Azam Khan.
The three Lok Sabha seats are to be contested in UP, Azamgarh and Rampur were vacated by Samajwadi Party leaders Akhilesh Yadav and Mohd Azam Khan respectively after winning the assembly polls.

Laknow: According to various sources the veteran leader of Samajwadi Party, Azam Khan, met with Shiva Singh Yadav president of Samajwadi party on Monday.
Yadav is being seen as friends become foes with Akhilesh Yadav, after being sidelined in the party.
Azam Khan and his son Abdullah Azam Khan also did not attend the party meeting in Lucknow, yesterday.
Political analysts are seeing the situation as a result of Azam KHAN's sorrow relationship with the party.
A third front in making, with leading face being Azam Khan?:
Azam did conduct meetings with top Muslim clerics in Uttar Pradesh. Speculations are running high that he might ditch the Samajwadi party, and may create a third front or a new alliance with sidelined Shivpal Singh Yadav the former key player in the Samajwadi party and the uncle of Akhilesh Yadav. Though, he denied the speculation many times in his media briefings and when asked by many reporters.
Azam who is out on the bail in 88 cases which were slapped on him in the duration of last five years, these cases have been seen as agenda against Azam or as he calls it “election agenda against him”.
Azam Khan haven't met in person with the Samajwadi party national president Akhilesh Yadav, though the duo talked briefly on phone.
Azam is deemed angry with the party's leadership, as he was sidelined by the party while he faced barrage of cases against him and left in worst conditions in jail, and weren't provided him with enough support.
Shivpal Singh Yadav is considered to be the closest political figure with Azam nowadays, as he was seen with the latter on various occasions, be it on the release day from Sitapur jail, or in the previous assembly elections in the state, when he went and met Azam Khan in the jail.
Various other parties like Congress, Bahujan Samaj party, are also keen to meet with the veteran leader who is considered to be the robust and popular leader in the Muslim community of Uttar Pradesh.

Political road ahead for SP leader Azam Khan, eyeing 2024 lok sabha polls!
• Uttar Pradesh, India: One of the highest ranked Muslim leader of the state of Uttar Pradesh (UP), and Samajwadi party leader Azam Khan, has been released on interim bail today.
Supreme Court of India granted interim bail:
The bail was given by the Supreme Court of India, Azam Khan was in jail since 26 months, and is under trial for over 88 cases, of various corruption charges, land occupation cases are among the most big one's.
Azam who is currently a member of Legislative Assembly in UP, from the seat of Rampur, was given interim bail in the last 88th case today, after being given relief in the other 87 cases, earlier this year.
Azam Khan was accompanied by his two sons and Shivpal Singh Yadav, leader of Pragatisheel Samajwadi Party, as well as his supporters and relatives, when he was released from the Sitapur jail in Uttar Pradesh today.
Azam Khan was seemed quite emotional after his exit from the jail, as he met with his old mates and family members and his supporters. His convoy was escorted from there on to his patronage town, Rampur, today.
Azam was welcomed in his patronage home town of Rampur when he reached, he greeted his audience, his supporters and gave a brief speech thanking them.
He asked for some time to get better and get treatment for his illness, he also said that his time will again come, and his 40 years of struggle in politics would not go in ruins.
Azam Khan, who has been seen as a robust political leader and is popular among Muslims around Uttar Pradesh and nationally as well.
He deemed very close to former Samajwadi party president and father of current president of the party Akhilesh yadav, Mulayam Singh Yadav.

The veteran politician did a press conference from his home in Rampur, where he spoke briefly to the reporters, and answered some of the critical questions—such as the road ahead in the journey of his political career, and some experiences in jail.
According to experts in political affairs, he also targeted indirectly his allies, for his condition and for charges he is facing.
Azam's Bail struggle:
Azam Khan surrendered in February 2020, and was later sent to Sitapur jail, and is under trial for total 88 cases.
While at one moment cases against him rose to more than a hundred, although, his bail was pending for a long time as his political rivals and current government were opposing his release.
Azam faced quite a struggle to get this interim bail from the Supreme Court, and in the press conference he did thanked honourable Supreme Court, saying “Justice is still alive, and today it was one of the examples.” he said.
His bail kept on delayed and the judgement of his were reserved by high court, then Supreme Court of India stepped into the matter after a plea filed by Azam's lawyers, seeking intervention, finally today the Supreme Court of India ruled in his favor, using special article 142 power, and granted interim bail to the Azam Khan.
Road ahead:
Azam Khan is beleived to be unhappy with his party leadership and high camman, and is considered to be more close to ex- SP leader Shivpal Singh Yadav.
While other parties like congress, BSP are also seen interested in getting him into their corner, SP leader Akhilesh Yadav did tweeted, congratulating him and praising the verdict of Supreme Court, in the favour of Azam Khan.
The veteran leader has not yet spoken about his future political moves, and what party he shall join or if he would stay in the SP.
Azam sayed that he's not feeling well currently and that he need some rest before coming back into active politics again.
The road ahead for Samajwadi party leader Azam Khan is quite challenging and interesting for many, as his moves would definitely be effective and reflect on upcoming 2024, Lok Sabha elections.
Speculations are high after his statement today, that he made in front of his supporters in Rampur, saying- “my time will come back.”
It seems that he is ready for another fight, in the long journey of his political career, by uttering statement like, his time will come back.
