How to celebrate Eid Milad-un Nabi ﷺ

• On the 12 Rabi’-ul-Awwal or shab-e wiladat, one should do abundance zikr.

The entire life of a ummati is for the remembrance of the beloved prophet ﷺ, and ibadat of Allah ﷻ and this month is the epicentre of an ummati's life, hence the remembrance and zikr of the beloved prophet ﷺ should be much more than usual.

One could do the following:

• Naat khwani.

• Recite durood sharif (Salat upon the Prophet ﷺ).

• Take part in Milad-un-nabi mehfil.

• Clean, decorate homes, streets, shops, business places you own, and wherever you are allowed to.

• Try to keep steadfast on the teachings of Huzur paak ﷺ, tell others to do the same.

• Exchange greetings with family, friends, and other Muslims.

Islamic Calendar System:

The hijri calender is a Islamic calendar system, it works on the cycle of moon (or lunar system), one Hijri month can has 29 or 30 days. and a year could have 354 or 356 days.

• The new moon is the first day of a lunar month.

• If the new moon is not visible in one region but is visible in another region, the latter region will start the new month.

• A new month (date 1), can only be observed, if a new moon (Waxing Crescent Moon is observed shortly after sunset) have been sighted in the specific region (area).
