Eid-ul Adha in Saudi Arabia, UAE 2023 :
Eid ul Adha will be observed on 27 June 2023 (10 Dhu al-Hijjah) in Saudi Arabia and the Arab region, and will end on 29 June 2023 (13 Dhu al-Hijjah).

Dhu al-Hijjah (Zul Hijjah):

Eid ul Adha comes in the month of Dhu al-Hijjah (Zul Hijjah), which is the last month in the Islamic calendar, meaning Eid ul Adha (Bakra Eid) is observed in the 12th month of Hijri calendar.
The festival is observed on every 10th of the 12th month, according to Hijri calendar.
How to distribute sacrifice meat (kurbani):
One-third of the meat is distributed among poor, relatives and the other third is kept for oneself.
The reason behind celebration of Eid Ul Adha:
The reason behind the festival is to remember the sacrifice that Prophet Hazrat Ibrahim Alaihissalam, did in the path of Allah ﷻ . and on the command of Allah ﷻ .
Muslims all around the world sacrifice (Qurbani) animals which are lawful or halal (animals which are allowed to be consumed in Islam) on the 10th, 11th, and 12th Zil Hajj.
Sacrificing on Eid ul Adha is in reality a remembrance of sunnah of Hazrat Ibrahim Alaihissalam.
Muslims around the world every year on the occasion of Eid ul Adha follow the Sunnah of Hazrat Ibrahim Alaihissalam, who has the laqab of Khalilullah (friend of Allah ﷻ .)
