Martyrdom of Imam Hussain رضي الله عنه

The 10th of Muharram, holds significant value as it is the day of Shahadat (Martyrdom) of our beloved Hazrat Imam Hussain رَضِىَ الـلّٰـهُ عَـنْهُ Muslims observe the day in remembrance of the Martyrdom of Imam Hussain رَضِیَ اللہُ تَعَالٰی عَنْہ alongside his family members and companions (72 tan Karbala e pak), in the Battle of Karbala in 61 Hijri (680 AD) in Karbala.

Imam Hussain ibn Ali رَضِیَ اللہُ تَعَالٰی عَنْہ , the beloved grandson of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ embraced Martyrdom (Shahadat) on 10th of Muharram, in the path of Allah ﷻ

Imam-e Aa'li Maqaam, Hazrat Imam Hussain رَضِىَ الـلّٰـهُ عَـنْهُ and his companions were martyred in the Battle of Karbala in 680 AD.

Imam Hussain's رضی اللہ عنہ stand against the tyrannical rule of Yazid and his ultimate sacrifice is a defining moment in Islamic history, symbolizing the Islamic struggle against injustice and oppression.

Sayyiduna Imam Hussain (Imam Husayn) رَضِىَ الـلّٰـهُ عَـنْهُ was 56 years, 5 months and 5 days old at the time of his martyrdom.

Imam Hussain رَضِىَ الـلّٰـهُ عَـنْهُ shrine is in Karbala, Iraq.

With the ultimate sacrifice of Himself رَضِىَ الـلّٰـهُ عَـنْهُ and his blessed family and companions رضی اللہ عنھم , Imam-e Aa'li Maqaam Hazrat Imam Hussain رَضِىَ الـلّٰـهُ عَـنْهُ has blossomed the garden of Islam.

With the ultimate sacrifice, Imam-e Aa'li Maqaam رَضِىَ الـلّٰـهُ عَـنْهُ has made sure the Islam flourish till the day of Qiyamah (Yawm al-Qiyamah).

This event is celebrated by fasting, which Prophet Muhammad صلَّی اللہ علیہ وسلَّم endorsed as an act of gratitude to Allah Almighty.
