The Iranian foreign spokesperson said calls for a probe into the use of alleged Iranian-origin drones in Ukraine is ‘false and baseless’.
Iran warned Western countries against “provocative approaches” after they urged a UN inquiry into Iranian drones allegedly being used in Russia.
“The government of the Islamic Republic of Iran, in its pursuit to protect its national interest and to secure the rights of the noble Iranian people, reserves the right to respond to any irresponsible action,” the Iranian foreign ministry website quoted Kanaani as saying.
“It will not hesitate to defend the interests of the Iranian people,” he said, without elaborating.
EU and other Western countries including Ukraine have repeatedly accused Iran to have supplied Russia with its “Shahed-136” suicidal Kamikaze Drones. In a letter signed by their UN envoys, the three European countries backed Ukraine’s call on Monday for a UN inquiry, arguing the drone use breached UN Security Council Resolution 2231 endorsing the 2015 Iran nuclear deal.

Iranian “Kamikaze drone” Russia's new weapon against Ukraine?
Russia is using Iranian drones called “Shahed-136” or “Kamikaze Drones” to attack Ukraine cities, various reports claim.
Russia calls these drones “Geran-2”. The Kamikaze drones are very cheap and effective at the same time.
Russia's reply of recent Crimea bridge blast:
The modern warfare is not possible to imagine without the use of unmanned military vehicles like drones, Ukraine was seen earlier this year using Türkiye made Bayrakhtar drones to attack Russian military and surveillance Russian military.
Now, the Russia is effectively using Iran made Kamikaze drones to attack key military positions and cities of Ukraine, including regions around Kyiv (capital and most populous city of Ukraine.)
Though Iran has repeatedly denied supplying the drones, or any arms to Russia, while the Kremlin has not commented.
On the other hand, US officials said they won't sanction Iran for the latest drone supply (alleged) to Russia.
After Russia's homemade drone failed to provide desired results, Russia quickly adopted to foreign drones to do the job for them.
According to Ukraine's president Zelensky, Russia has ordered 2,400 Kamikaze drones from Iran.
Ukrainian air defences are very weak, and the number of attacks it is facing with these drones are making it next to impossible to counter. It allowed the Russians to inflict critical strikes on the infrastructure of the Ukrainian military.
Russia is bombing Ukraine heavily with cruise missiles and drones after the Crimea bridge blast, which took place a few days back. Russia deemed the attacks as terrorist attacks on its soil, and vowed to hit back fiercely.

Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi:
Iran President Raisi was quite vocal in a speech he gave on Saturday, he boasted Iran's recent military sales achievements, saying the country was now a popular prospective exporter of weapons.
Raisi recently said, “People came up to me asking us to sell them military products. ‘Why us?’ I asked them, ‘there are so many other countries, They said, ‘because yours are better’.”
He did not specify the kind of weapons he was asked to sell or who had approached him. This, he said, had angered Iran’s enemies who “do not want us to grow … to conquer markets”.
