Story: Maruti Fronx price and features in-depth analysis. ; 21-12-2023;
Maruti Fronx has A.C vents in the back? What is the USP? Should you buy it?
The Unique Selling Points (USP) of the Maruti Suzuki are many, be it its sporty-robust, modern look, spacier inner part, LED lamps, Good infotainment system, and heads up display in the cockpit. Other things mention worthy are A.C. vents in back, USB, and a type-C port.
Fronx offer modern LED headlamps with large front grill (that reminds me of BMW 7 Series front grill), tail of the car also features the same LED tail lights that looks good due its design, that is modern and resembles luxury cars. The price though is very cheap, it starts at just around 8 Lakhs and goes up to 13 Lakhs.
Competition of Fronx?
With such a competitive price tag the Maruti Fronx looks to justify the tag, and looks to give tough competition to its rival compact SUV's like Tata's Nexon, Hyundai Venue, Kia Sonet, Citroen C3, Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder, Nissan Magnite facelift etc.
The car interior offer space, comfort, and somewhat quiet cabin, with ample amount of legroom and headroom.
Resembles baleno, which is also a premium product, itself.
Other things worth mentioning are, presence of allow wheels, roof rails, shark fin antenna, interconnected (with thin line) tail lights, top end variant offers all leather interiors with good stitch design, feels premium.
Good thing is the presence of heads-up display, with more information on it, also a premium feature. Has 6 airbags, 360deg. camera and ton of other features.

• No fog lamps.
Rear bumper looks bad, should've got some styling done to it.
Back side does not impress me. Old-fashioned instrument cluster lags creative approach.
• Only top variants provide larger display, Arkamys sound system (which is not that well known or has featured in luxury cars), or a leather stitched interior.
The rating of crash test is another con that Maruti Suzuki cars carry, which is not a good thing.
Should you buy one?
The Fronx appeal young blood who wants an SUV (and not hatchback due to the fact that SUV's offer high ride, bigger wheels, luxurious, stronger, and robust option), that is cheap, compact, and stuffed with modern features.
Whether you should buy Fronx or not depends on what is your “cup of tea”, experts can only help with points, that might play a role in finding is Fronx your cup of tea or not?
You can consider following points though:
• Do you want to go with the trust of Maruti Suzuki branding?
• Do you want to try a new product, that hasn't been in the market, before (being first version.) • Do you like muscular and robust looks in your car?
Are you ready to tweak the budget a little for a compact SUV (in case you have planned a hatchback earlier, with a less budget)?
• Many experts say, Maruti product enjoys plus points like, good amount of service centre network all throughout India. As well as, the company has reputation for good after sell value, meaning you can get a good price if you want to sell a Maruti car in future.
Your drive style and various other factors. But ultimately one thing needs to be there, if you want to know whether you should buy it or not? And that is “what you want, if you like what you see you, and has a desire and/or a need of it, you might want to buy it.” No expert can help you decide whether a product is for you or not, it is your desire and needs that would ultimately dictate your decisions.
Maruti claims that Fronx offer 22-23 kmpl mileage, but some car experts suggest it would give 18-20 with ease.
It has good double tone interiors with 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, it has Arkamys sound system (I think Harmen Sound system would have been a good choice though).
The car is said to be available with two engine options: 1.2L (litre) naturally aspirated petrol engine producing 89bhp and 113Nm of torque, while another version has 1.0L turbocharged petrol engine producing 99bhp and 147Nm of torque.
