The annual urs mubarak of Hazrat Meher Ali Shah رَحْمَةُ الـلّٰـهِ عَـلَيْـه in Golra Sharif would be celebrated from Thursday, 13 August to Friday, 14 August 2026 (dates may vary). According to Hijri date 29 Shafar to 1 Rabi ul Awwal 1447.
Hazrat Pir Syed Meher Ali Shah
Peer Meher Ali Shah رَحْمَةُ الـلّٰـهِ عَـلَيْـه was born on 1st Ramadan (14 April 1859) in Golra, Islamabad, Pakistan (according to one account).
Urs mubarak of hazrat is celebrated in Golra Sharif darbar, from 29th Safar to 1st Rabi ul awwal every year.
Hazrat took parda (wisal'e zahiri) on 11 May 1937 at the age of 78 years, in Golra, Islamabad.
Wisaal date in Hijri is 29 Safar 1356 Hijri (11 May 1937).
Hazrat was a descendent, on his father’s side, of Hazrat Syedna Ghaus-e-Azam Shaikh Abdul Qadir Jilani رضي الله عنه in the 25th generation, and of the Holy Prophet Muhammad ﷺ of Islam through Syedna Hassan Ibn-e-Ali رضي الله عنه in the 38th generation.
On the side of his mother, he descended from Hazrat Ghaus-e-Azam رضي الله عنه in the 24th generation and from the Holy Prophet Muhammad ﷺ through Syedna Hussain Ibn-e-Ali رضي الله عنه in the 37th generation.
Aannual Urs of Syedna Ghaus-e-Azam رضي الله عنه is also celebrated in Golra Sharif from 9 to 11 Rabi-us-Saani, and total attendance of well over 100,000 people is estimated in the urs mubark.
Urs mubarak of Pir mehr ali shah baba رَحْمَةُ الـلّٰـهِ عَـلَيْـه is celebrated from 29 Safar to 1 Rabi Ul Awwal, this year the date would be 13 and 14 Aug. 2026 (dates may vary).
Dargah Sharif is located in the town of Golra Sharif, Sector E-11, right before the Margalla hills, Islamabad, Pakistan.
