Hajj 2023 has begun, and this year it is expected to be the ‘Largest Hajj pilgrimage in history’ with 2.5 million (that is 25 Lakhs) Muslims expected to perform the Hajj together this year in Saudi Arabia.

Muslims wait their entire life to perform Hajj, at least once in the lifetime, and it is mandatory for those who are capable enough

in-terms of physically and financially, to perform one.

Hajj is one of the 5 pillars of Islam. This year it is expected to be the largest Hajj in the history, as Muslims from 160 countries with expected attendance of 25 lakhs (2.5 Million.) to perform the Hajj.

Labbaykal lahumma labbayka, labbayka la sharika laka labbayka, innal hamda wa-n-niʿmata laka wa-l-mulka la sharika lak.

• The annual pilgrimage began on Sunday in Masjid al-haram Makkah, Saudi Arabia, with the tawaf of the Kaaba sharif.

• Hajj is performed during the holy month of Dhul Hijjah, the 12th month in the Islamic calendar.
