Maldives President Mohamed Muizzu's Party won elections landslide, known for “anti-India” policies!

Party of Maldives President Mohamed Muizzu won control of parliament in an election landslide.

The results conveys the message, that shows backing of voters to Muizzu's anti-India stance after he was elected president just recently.

Mohamed Muizzu has been known so far for his tilt towards China and away from regional powerhouse and traditional benefactor India, as he became the first President to have visited China for first official visit, after taking the office first time, and not India.

Muizzu and his party leaders faced backlash in India, due to anti-India rhetoric, and for his decision to completely remove Indian military presence from the Maldives, until come May 2024. Muizzu said he will fulfil his campaign promise to remove Indian military personnel stationed in the Maldives.

According to news reports Indian forces stationed in the Maldives have already began to withdraw from the Iceland.

According to Forbes the Indian oil rich billionaire, Mukesh Ambani, elder son of Dhiru Ambani, made history, when this week he became the first Asian to break into the exclusive $100 billion club on the World’s Billionaires list of Forbes.

Forbes reported "with shares of his Reliance Industries conglomerate booming, the net worth of Mukesh Ambani shot up to $116 billion, from $83 billion, making him the first Asian to break into the exclusive $100 billion club on the World’s Billionaires list."

The Forbes also noted that Ambani retained his position as the ninth richest person in the world and remains both India’s and Asia’s richest person.

Recently Ambani, made $8.5 billion merger with Walt Disney of his own Reliance’s entertainment unit Viacom18 Media.

Reliance owns Network18, which is a licensee of Forbes Media and publishes Forbes India.
