Ukraine is preparing itself for a harsh winter season, as Russia is bombarding power supply stations across Ukraine.
• Ukrainian officials have urged civilians to save electricity amidst the Russian attacks.
• Ukraine warns power supply shortage across Ukraine as one-third of the country’s power facilities has been destroyed.
• Ukraine's President Zelenskyy called the attacks on energy infrastructure as “another kind of Russian terrorist attacks”.
Ukrainians facing blackouts throughout the country as a result of heavy losses to the power grid system. According to Ukrainian officials, 30% of the powers supply stations have been struck and destroyed in the Russian attacks in the last two weeks.
Ukraine calls the recent drones and missile attacks just before the winter season an act of terrorism by Russia. Ukraine says Russia is using Iranian made suicide drones.
Russia fired 36 missiles at the critical energy infrastructure objects on Sunday, most of which were shot down. Ukraine's officials say around 1.5 million Ukrainians were left without power, due to heavy targeted bombing in recent days.
Ukraine's bid to fight the winter amid electricity crisis:
A citywide central heating system (from communist period), was started just recently, to assist people, who might otherwise be using electricity to heat their homes.
Mobile heating systems are planned, in case of main power supply get hit by Russian bombardment.
Ukraine's major power stations has been hit by the Russian barrage.
Kyiv reports heavy casualties:
Iran's special Kamikaze drones are reportedly being used as a cheap and effective weapon against Ukraine.
Authorities in Kyiv say, more than 50 people killed and more than 200 have wounded, in the aerial strikes, in recent reports.
This is the deadliest attack on Kiev since the early days of the war.
The current wave of attacks with the use of Drones and missiles started since October 10.
Russia is bombing Ukraine's cities in response to the Crimea Bridge blast, which occur in recent days.
Russian fighter jet Su-30, crashes into building in Siberia.
Russian fighter jet Su-30 crash resulted in killing two pilots. The Su-30 is among main Figher Jets in the Russian Air Force, and are equiped with modern tech.
The residents are unharmed in the city of Irkutsk. The crash occurred less than a week after a Sukhoi Su-34 jet crashed into a multistory residential building in the Russian town of Yeysk, killing 15 people.
A probe was launched by Russia on the previous incident.
