Google has announced its slate of flagship phones this year: the Google Pixel 10 and the Google Pixel 10 Pro (with a Fold Version and a Pro XL).

The upcoming Pixel series will focus on refined design, powerful new hardware, and smarter AI. Let’s delve into the specifications, price, details, and everything we know so far.

The series is expected to be unveiled at a “Made by Google” event in August. Many reports have indicated that the Google event is scheduled for August 20, 2025.

The availability of the phone will be from August 28, 2025, and pre-orders will be taken from the same day of announcement with delivery, while the final dates may vary.

The Pixel 10 series, would include the Pixel 10, Pixel 10 Pro, Pixel 10 Pro XL, and a foldable Pixel 10 Pro Fold.

The battery on Pixel 10 pro would be up slightly from Pixel 9 Pro, instead of 4,700 mAh the battery would be 4,870 mAh.

Google Pixel 10 Series price expectations

Google is reportedly going to maintain its current pricing tiers:

The base model Pixel 10 would be $799 USD (i.e. around ₹79,999 in India.)

Pixel 10 Pro would start at $999 (around ₹1,09,999 INR.)

Pixel 10 Pro XL at $1,199 (around ₹1,39,990) this is a hike since last year's 9 Pro XL model which started at 1099.

And a more affordable Pixel Fold starting around $1,600 (i.e. ₹1,79,999) is expected. In the flagship market, these models' prices will continue to be competitive, providing continuity with their predecessors.

New Silicon: Tensor G5

The standout upgrade in the Google Pixel is its Tensor G5 chipset. This SoC is made on a 3 nm (up from 5 nm) node by TSMC and is expected to provide enhanced performance, power efficiency, and a more robust on-device AI engine.

Google is ramping up its AI features, with the Pro models benefiting the smarter AI photo processing, enhanced assistant features, and possibly the upcoming Gemini AI assistant.

Both models are powered by Tensor G5 leveraging AI enhancements with the boost of image processing and capabilities.

Cameras & Imaging

Pixel 10 (Standard) is expected to have a third telephoto sensor—likely to have an 11MP Samsung unit—joining its main camera and ultra-wide.

The Pixel 10 Pro Series incorporates the same three well-proven sensors as the Pixel 9 Pro models: the 50 MP primary (Samsung GNV) 1/1.31" (sensor size), 48 MP ultra-wide (Sony IMX858), 1/2.55". And a 48 MP telephoto (Sony IMX858) 1/2.55".

Front camera would be Sony IMX858 a 48 MP (or 42 MP) shooter with 1/2.55" (sensor size), autofocus setup.

Design & Display

Both models are the same as the Pixel 9 lineage in terms of aesthetics, featuring flat edges, narrow bezels, and a horizontal camera bar.

Display: Google's Pixel 10 features a 6.3″ FHD+ OLED display with a 1080×2424 resolution, HDR support, a 60–120 Hz refresh rate, Gorilla Glass Victus 2 protection, and a faster ultrasonic fingerprint sensor.

Pro & Pro XL: Features of the Pro series are matched or enhanced from last year's specifications with slightly larger or higher-res LTPO OLED screens.

Battery & Charging

Google Pixel 10: Same as the Pixel 9, the Pixel 10 is also expected to have 4700 mAh, giving 24 hours of usage via Google’s rumoured 45W charger.

Google Pixel 10 Pro Models: The battery on Pixel 10 pro would be up slightly from Pixel 9 Pro, instead of 4,700 mAh the battery would be 4,870 mAh.

A slightly bigger battery on Pro XL model, up from, 5060 mAh on Pixel 9 PRO XL to 5,200 mAh on Pixel 10 PRO XL. A hike in charging speed is also expected, up from 37 watts to 39 watts.

Eye Comfort: Reports have shown that higher brightness panels and reduced PWM dimming in these models mitigate flicker-induced eye strain.

Software

The Android 16 software for the Google Pixel 10 will include Google's most recent Material 3 theme, along with seven years of updates.

Storage

The base version Pixel 10 pro would have same 128 GB storage capacity, as previous year's Pixel 9 pro.

The Pixel 10 Pro XL model would have 256 GB of internal storage.

Google might include magnetic charging accessories, with the debut of the Qi2 support and magnetic “Pixelsnap” accessories, for wireless charging.
