Why Muslims celebrate Eid Ul Adha:
Muslims all around the world including India to sacrifice (qurbani) animals which are "halal" (animals which are allowed to be consumed in Islam) on the 10th, 11th, and 12th Zil Hajj, while the reason behind the festival is to remember the sacrifice that Prophet Hazrat Ibrahim Alaihissalam, did in the path of Allah (عزوجل), and on the command of Allah (عزوجل).
Brief Waqiya (Story):
As Hazrat Ibrahim Alaihissalam was ready to sacrifice his most beloved thing, his son, Hazrat Ismail Alaihissalam.
After the revelation from almighty Allah (عزوجل) which Hazrat Ibrahim Alaihissalam saw in his dreams. Hazrat Ibrahim Alaihissalam saw revelations in his dreams telling, sacrifice most beloved thing in the path of Allah (عزوجل).
But as Hazrat Ibrahim Alaihissalam was ready to fulfill the revelation, almighty Allah (عزوجل), sent Gibrael Alaihissalam from the heaven with a lamb (from heaven) to be secrificed instead of Hazrat Ismail Alaihissalam by Hazrat Ibrahim Alaihissalam to congratulate Hazrat Ibrahim Alaihissalam for his success in the test of his devotion & him fulfilling the revelation from Allah (عزوجل), on the command of Allah (عزوجل).
In the end Prophet Hazrat Ibrahim Alaihissalam sacrificed the lamb from heaven, as on the orders of Allah (عزوجل). Now Muslims around the globe do follow the Sunnah of the Khaleel (friend) of Allah (عزوجل), Hazrat Ibrahim Alaihissalam, each year on the ocation of Eid Ul Adha.

Bakra Eid 2021 Date in India:
Bakra Eid or Eid Ul Adha in India is expected to be observed on July 21 (Wednesday) same day as the neighbouring country Pakistan, However, the local moon-sighting committee will announce the final decision in India as well as in Pakistan.
The observance of Eid Ul Adha depends on the "Ruet e Hilal" and no one can tell exactly when it would fall. However, India usually observes Islamic events one day after Saudi Arabia along with Pakistan and Bangladesh.
Bakra Eid 2021 Date in Pakistan:
Pakistan is expected to observe Eid ul Azha or Baqr Eid on July 21. However, the final decision relies on the announcement of moon sighting. In Pakistan, the Ruet e Hilal Committee decides the birth of the new moon. As per the tentative schedule, the Federal Government can give Eid ul Adha holidays in Pakistan from July 19 to July 23.
